Chhath pooja is a four day celebration with morning ‘’Arghy’ to the rising sun on the first day. ‘Nhay-khay’ is the preparatory day for the next 2 days “nirjala vrat’. Next day ‘Vratee’ observed ‘nirjala vrat’ and offered evening ‘Arghya’ to Sun God in the temporary water body created on the terrace which was decorated with flowers and lights. Diya were lit on the sides l and chhath songs were playing in the background which made the mood of festivity. For Arghya ‘vratee’ offered fruits and ‘Thekua’ to Sun God. Similarly in the morning last ‘Arghya’ was offered to the rising sun by ‘vratee’ in the water pool and then they ended their fast with the prasaad. Later prasaad was given to all people present there.
