This year Chhath Puja, was celebrated from November 17 to 20, 2023 on the sixth day of Diwali in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and many other parts of India.
Chhath Puja is the four- day elaborate celebration which evolves long fast without water to offer prayer to Sun God at ‘Usha’ and Pratyusha’ -the rays of sun in the water body.
On this occasion, at AGV -1 , there was an arrangement for the devotees at the children’s swimming pool premises which was very beautifully decorated with flowers , Diya’s and sugarcane stacks. The residents gathered in large numbers for performing their rituals holistically on 19 November afternoon before sunset and on 20 November at dawn for offering ‘Arghya ‘ to Sun. After puja fruits and sweets were distributed among all. The residents enjoyed this auspicious moment wholeheartedly becoming the part of this festival.
