A statement that holds a lot of definitions. As citizens of our Great Country, we do not feel the necessity to take care of our motherland.
The conversation starts with a peep around us.
We are becoming explorers wandering around the world and once done we come home exploding with all good liners for visited countries. How beautiful they are, how green they are etc. But our lanes are full of trash, plastic, garbage, rotting veggies, sanitary pads, clothes and what all we have to dump outside.
Our condos have people who come and clean our leftovers. The modern world hesitates even to stand next to them in the lifts.
The concern is when will we realise the need to be ashamed of our irresponsible behaviour. It’s like I close my eyes and the lion disappears.
Walking down the roads early in the mornings, full of dog poops on the sides, I too am a pet parent. A little love for your surroundings will push you to carry a newspaper or a trash bag, a scooper to clean up after the animals are done, but Naa no one is watching us.
They helps clean our homes, irrespective of regular training we dump all on the stairs. The beauty overload slowly slips from the trash bags spreading stink around and the beautified corners are an eye-catcher.
We live in the hotspot of Gurgaon DLF5. Serene, green and updated. But a turn towards Paras kills my belief. The lane to Harijan Colony is a live example of dumping our goodies once loved. The same didis and helps who clean our homes are cleaning there’s too but the road for them is the dustbin. For the cows and stray dogs, it’s like a table with a variety of food spread locked in plastic wraps.
It must be so difficult for the municipal corporation people to clean it as a mess but who knows where they dump. Honestly, it is so difficult for one being to clean tonnes of stinking garbage.
When will we have clean lanes and fresh and breathable air?
Let’s take responsibility for ourselves and others and educate ourselves and others. Who knows in the coming years our country will be counted as the cleanest one.
Jai Hind!
