Change of Guard at Kailash Dham

The first election since November 2019

On 16 January, elections for the Management Committee were held at Kailash Dham, marking the first election since November 2019. This time a com-pletely new team was elected, with a near-clean sweep.

In the weeks leading up to the election, there was a lot of campaigning and discussion among residents. Everyone had their own opinions, shaped by personal experiences or hearsay. However, one common sentiment stood out: all residents shared a desire to improve the community life at Kailash Dham. With this shared goal in mind, the election proceeded smoothly in accordance with the rules of the housing society. As is typical with elections, there were winners and losers; but in the grand scheme, Kailash Dham is the real winner, as everyone involved truly wants the best for the community.

Allow me to introduce the newly elected team: Assem Sharma is the President and Sharmila Siwach is the Vice President. The other members of the Managing Committee are Ashish Bakshi, Vineet Sharma, Abhay Gupta, Asha Gupta, and Harsha Menon. All of them are first-time members, with the exception of Abhay Gupta, who was previously part of the MC before 2019.

With a blend of experience and new energy, Kailash Dham is poised to progress with hope and optimism. I sincerely hope that all residents will embrace cooperation, coordination and active participation. Adhering to community rules and respecting the values of communal living are essential to fostering a harmonious and fulfilling life for everyone.

The first event organized by the new team was the Republic Day celebration on 26 January. The event was well-planned, and participation was strong. In his brief and heartfelt speech, Mr. Sharma, the President of Kailash Dham, emphasized the importance of unity despite our diversity, and assured everyone that the new Management Committee would work diligently for the benefit of all residents. His message, delivered in 90 seconds, struck a chord with me. I do hope we all can be ‘better together’ and ‘work together’.

My ardent wish is that we all work together, not only for the betterment of Kailash Dham but also in collaboration with other stakeholders in Sector 50.

Congratulations to the new team and best wishes for all your future endeavours!
