Yet again, we are pleased to share an achievement story of another Gejha girl. Chandni’s father is a gas cylinder supplier and her mother is a housewife.
When just 7 years, she joined free basket-ball coaching and in 6 years managed to be selected in the Top 12 most upcoming female players in India by the Jr NBA program.
With dedication and hard work devoted to the play, for which she developed great passion, she was helped by ATS Village resident, Pradyot Voleti, who has a sports-for-development foundation that uses basketball to impart life skills and education to children from underserved communities across Noida in multiple villages.
Recently, the foundation helped secure a full scholarship for Chandni from Gejha village, Sector-93, to Corvuss International School in Maharashtra.
This is a historic moment for the entire academy and a lifetime opportunity for Chandni. She will now have access to a world class boarding school where she will have the best of Infrastructure combined with High Quality Education and American Coaches to help her reach her highest potential.
Pradyot Voleti says, “Our goal is to take this initiative to 100 villages by 2030 and give children from less resourced backgrounds an opportunity to learn organised sports and valuable life skills.”
