It is such s joyous experience to see children blooming into talented young adults. Especially when you have seen them grow since their early childhood. Yes dear friends this is the story of such a sweet little angel i have seen grow from an infant to a pretty young adult today. No more suspenses. This is the story of my next door neighbour Rhea Bakshi whom I have seen as a little child holding her dadi’ s hand tightly walking in the colony park, enjoying the swings n slides and then gradually going to school with her mom and on her way back from school being picked up by her dadi. Today she has brought laurels not only to her family but to her extended family-‘ we the neighbours’ and the entire Safdarjung Enclave’.
Rhea is a class 12 student of Sri Ram school. Her first documentary “India’s Treasures”, has been awarded at the New York International Film Awards, with finalist laurel. It was the only film from India to be awarded.
“India’s Treasures” is an intimate journey into the enchanting world of one of India’s centuries-old traditional art forms – handmade silver jewellery – adorned by the royalties across all continents. Directed and presented by Rhea ,the documentary embraces artisans’ lives and showcase their pride, fears, sacrifice and passion while creating and preserving India’s distinct identity.
It underscores the power of sustainable development and inclusive economic growth.
Rheas work was telecast on Jio network on this Independence Day.
Team Samvada extends its heartiest congratulations to the proud parents of Rhea and entire Bakshi Family.
