Navratras are very auspicious days and Dandia is a regular function during the auspicious days of Navratras in not only Gujarat, but also in many parts of India and so in The Forest Society of Sector 92, Noida. This year also it was performed on 01 October instant in the main society lawn under the able guidance of Madhu Aggarwal. Ladies group vehemently rehearsed with complete devotion, and thus performed beautifully.
The function started with Shri Ganesh Vandana by Sarita Kanaudia and Kumud Maheshwari. A classical dance by Saishia was another Master Performance! It was conducted impressively by Sandhya and Sarika. Finally, it then concluded with a thriller dance by Parth. Decorative lighting, DJ music and mouth-watering dinner were bumper additions of the show!
Auspicious days of Navratras are for community welfare events too. During these days along with Dandiya function, residents of The Forest organised free food service (langars) at the main society gate all through the nine days for hundreds of people with charitable contributions by residents.
Mata-ki-Chowki was also solemnised by Pramod Mehra family, which had capacity-full attendance of residents, who chanted and clapped to the tunes of the main singer in a real devotional state of mind!
The society has many future programmes in the pipeline to create a very entertaining environment here. Plans are for organizing following events – Super Star Singer, Super Star Dancer of the society, Knowledge Quiz competition, etc. In addition to all these prorgrammes, Diwali cards session and musical evenings shall add to the lively environment of the society! Residents shall have great fun during coming months with the whole-hearted support and inspiration by the RWA.
