The month of January 2024 will go down in history as an iconic month. Its significance as the auspicious month when Pran Prathishtha of Shri Ram Mandir took place at Ayodhya dham cannot be overemphasized. History was made this day! It was a proud moment when citizens from North, South, East and West of India came together to welcome Lord Ram Lalla. This was a very strong reply of every proud Indian to the West‘s divisive tactics of trying to divide us along religious and geographical lines.
At Mahagun Maple we celebrated this grand day, 22 January, by organizing a ‘Sunderkand path’ and lighting diyas. The society was illuminated and it was Diwali once again! The religious and emotional energy was palpable. Young and old all joined in the pooja with fervor to celebrate.
The excitement was carried over to 26 January. This year, in line with the nation’s mantra, our celebration was also Nari-shakti centric – skits and songs were performed by the ladies and girls of our society.
