All Courts Celebrate 75th Republic Day and Lohri
New year 2024 was greeted with extreme cold weather but picked warmth due to celebrations of festivals like Lohri followed by 75th Republic Day. Essel Towers was in thick of action and all the courts celebrated both the occasions with full pomp & show.
For Lohri, Residents brought their own Pooja thalis & sweets, mainly Til, Popcorns & Peanuts, down to the common areas where everyone gathered around the Lohri Bonfire and performed the rituals.
On R-Day the national flag was hoisted in all the courts. Republic Day in Emerald Court flag was hoisted by Mr Bharat Bhushan, president of the court forum. The compere for the event was Naveen Dubey.
While in Pearl Court it was hoisted by all the senior citizens and the show was very well compered by Anita Mitroo.
Needless to say, all such festivals cannot be complete without tasty food. Republic Day saw sports organised for kids & residents in Pearl Court. Prizes were given to the winners & the spirit of competition was intense but full of fun & frolic.
Emerald Court honoured their security, horticulture, maintenance & house keeping staff with cash rewards followed by lunch of coveted puraani Dilli chaat.
