The united B-5 RWA celebrated this event in a grand way this year. While most of the participants were from B-5 block, we also had some ladies from B-2,B-3 and from B-6 blocks. The program first started at 5 p m sharp,with two rounds of Tambola. Next , the ladies had an entertaining round of passing the parcel. Peppy music was played and hilarious punishments were given. Next item was team games,which produced a lot of rollicking laughter. The prizes for the games were sponsered by the Indriya group which is an Aditya Birla group.Their smiling and polite staff passed around boxes of snacks to all the ladies,also gift vouchers and elegant jewel boxes to the winners of the various games. Last was an impromptu dance session to all the latest Bollywood songs.All the ladies joined in with huge smiles. All in all the women’s day was a huge success ,with 75 ladies attending. These events create a bonding between the women of the colony and foster a spirit of sisterhood. Nowadays these gatherings are all the more necessary since life has become much more hectic, especially for women who are managing professions as well as home and hearth.
