It was announced earlier by the Prime Minister to observe 26 Dec every year as Veer Bal Diwas in their honour.
To commemorate the occasion and keep their sacrifice and memory alive it was decided to hold and organize the event by RWA Gumbad at a specially arranged programme to educate and inform children of the related story. A group of EWS children were therefore invited to attend the programme. Col Lamba HGS RWA recounted the extreme bravery of the 4 Sahibzade which was listened to with rapt attention by all the children and served as a reminder of our great religious heritage.
A langar was also organized through the Gurdwara and distributed to the children along with gifts donated by the colony children. Security Guards MCD workers and safai karamcharis also partook the langar.
Later in the evening Guards of RWA and club received blankets and food packets. The event was funded by residents and NGO’s and attended by the RWA President, EC members and some residents.
