There was a grand celebration of ‘Srimad Bhagavat Katha ‘at AGV -1, from 21 to 28 April in the club house. Entire arrangements were done by the ‘ Mahila Satsang group’ of the society. As the
inauguration of program on 21 April, at 9 a.m. ‘Kalash Yatra‘ took place which started from the mandir premise. Hundreds of ladies beautifully attired in yellow saree and jewellery, with kalash on their heads took round of the entire Society. The sight was awesome with all the gorgeous ladies taking this ‘parikrama’. Finally they reached inside the club house and kept the‘Kalash’ inside – as ceremony named ‘Kalash sthapana’. Thereafter the program started. For all seven days there was Havan, satsang and large scale prasad distribution. The residents with their families thronged to listen to this beautiful ‘Bhagavat Katha‘ and for seeking the blessing of lord’ ‘Krishna’.
For seven days, seven colours of dress code was kept which everyone followed religiously. Through this program, Lord Krishna’s birth and His entire ‘leelas’ were depicted by performing dance and drama which was organised by the’ Vrindavan Bhajan mandali ‘ sangh. It was a mesmerizing program which everyone, specifically the elderly people enjoyed the most. At the end of the program Arti and Prasad distribution was held on daily basis. Devotees prepared variety of sweet dishes along with fruits to offer to ’Bal Gopal’ and at the end distributed amongst all. Children also took part – dressed up as ‘Balgopal’ and Krishna. Devotional songs and glorious lyrics gave solace and ecstasy to everyone’s mind. ‘Chappan bhog’ was a great treat for everyone. On the last day there was a large scale Bhandara for everyone and residents relished it very much. We are really thankful to the entire organising committee for arranging such an auspicious event which was greatly appreciated by all. Specifically the‘ Mahila bhajan mandali took wonderful effort in entire seven days for organising the entire program. The residents were pleased to at having such wonderful experience.
