There should not be a day fixed for celebrating Womanhood. Keeping this in mind, Women’s Day was celebrated in Sunshine Helios with great enthusiasm.
The day was dedicated to honouring and celebrating women. Women are universal, they are mothers, nurturers, caretakers, homemakers, office goers, bankers, entrepreneurs, teachers, artists, instrumentalists, dance performers, NGO runners, politicians, actors, and much more. They play multiple roles in their life as a mother, daughter, sister, and wife, and a home is not complete without them. Sunshiners celebrated womanhood by reciting poetry and performing a dance called “Ode to Woman” by Vandana Sharma. The day was also dedicated to honoring cancer survivors and their inner strength, willpower, determination, and courage to fight bravely and come out as winners. Rekha Sharma, Deepa Srivastav, Shweta Sahay, and Neelam Ji were our distinguished guests. Our guest speaker was a cancer survivor who shared her inspiring story and motivated everyone with her faith in God and herself. Rekha Ji shared her experience with a good sense of humor, while Deepa Srivastav spoke with ease and a relaxed manner. Dr. Deepika Anil gave some valuable tips on cancer preventive care. Ms. Mona Mehra launched the Family Maker Forum and gave a motivational address to women, encouraging them to soar high, progress in their chosen careers and lifestyles, and reach for the stars. Women are the epitome of patience, tolerance, and dignity, and they are the axis of the universe.
