Celebrating Teej in Silver City was a vibrant and joyous occasion that brought together the community in a spirit of festivity and traditions. It was a day filled with music, dance, laughter and the spirit of sisterhood. It was a well-planned program by the respective AOA in collaboration with the cultural volunteers: Bharti, Dipali, Geeta, Jyoti, Nidhi, Shilpi, Sonali, Shweta, Kavita and Smritee who had put their heart and soul to make this event a grand success.
During the festivity, the club house of Silver City was transformed into a festive paradise with colourful decorations, swing adorned with flowers and beautifully decorated selfie points. The main attraction of the event was that the function was graced by the stellar performances of the ladies of the society both senior and junior, which added a traditional charm to the event making it an unforgettable experience for everyone present.
In “The Teej Queen senior category”, the title was given to Uma Goel and “The Teej Queen runner up” title went to Urmila Sharma. Finally, “The Teej Queen” winner was Preeti Verma and “The Teej Queen runner up” was Pratibha Tyagi. The spirit of camaraderie was evident as the ladies enthusiastically participated in the free tambola game. Various other games were also organised ensuring that everyone has a great time.
No celebration is complete without good food and the Teej function here was no less. The prizes of the event including those for the Teej Queens and the runners up were extravagantly sponsored by our very own resident, Bannya Basu, who happened to be the judge of the event.
The Teej function was a grand success leaving everyone cherished with infinite lovely memories.
