This Teachers’ Day was marked by two special events, both paying tribute to the invaluable contributions of educators.
On September 5th, Bachpan Shaala hosted a unique celebration led by Nandita Chopra at J Block Park, DLF Phase 2. The event focused on a “Plant a Tree” drive, where participants, along with Nandita and three volunteers, planted trees to symbolize growth, knowledge, and sustainability. The initiative was a beautiful gesture to honour teachers while promoting environmental consciousness. Nandita continues to care for the trees, ensuring that the seeds of knowledge and greenery planted that day thrive. The event highlighted the idea of doing something meaningful for both the environment and educators.
Following this, on September 7th, a more personal celebration was held at 61 Madhya Marg, where close friends and yogamates gathered for lunch to honour their Yoga teacher, fondly called Guruji, Sonam Thandup, the guest of honour. A heartfelt gesture of gratitude, the event included a special gift for Guruji from Charu Kapoor, Neelam Yadav, Archita Kulshreshtha, Sparshi Chhabra, Pooja Joshi, Anshu Sinha, Sheenu Singla and Sanjeev Luthra. Both events reflected the deep respect and appreciation for teachers, recognizing their role in shaping futures and nurturing both minds and the planet.
