Regarding blanket ban on green firecrackers in Delhi this year too, I have some good news for those who are sad by the ban and I have attached a picture and video below.
Let me quote Dr. Ghadge an expert as reported in the media:
“…Apart from this, a ban on firecrackers often encourages people to explore eco-friendly and sustainable ways to celebrate, the expert said, adding that LED lights, lanterns or diyas, help lower environmental and health impact…”
In our Frugal Innovation Lab For Societal Benefit, I have developed an attractive alternative to conventional noise & environment polluting firecracker by designing a non-firecracker based multiple LED Whistling Rocket Copter ‘NeelGagan’ launcher which launches several non-polluting, noise-less rockets which only gets activated by a small Diya.
It works on the elementary Physics principle taught in the school of potential energy being gradually converted into kinetic energy.
I am sure my safe, environment friendly prototype ‘NeelGagan’ will be a great hit with masses as a DIY activity for all age groups.
Once launched simultaneously, these several whistling LED Rocket copters soar 60 feet high and light up the sky with multiple-coloured lights and almost looks like fireworks display and the fun is to catch these rockets when they return back to the ground slowly spinning like a helicopter.
Unlike conventional polluting, noise generating firecracker rockets, my LED whistling rocket copters can be quickly mounted on the innovative launcher designed and one kid or adult can then launch them simultaneously in the air.
