One of the major issues facing any colony these days is the spiralling crime graph and the law and order situation. Shantiniketan too is grappling with this major issue and as such is looking for ways and means to install CCTV cameras across the colony, especially covering the dark spots. The requirement of the CCTV cameras is somewhere between 35 to 75 most of which would be covering the dark spots in the backlanes, from where the houses are vulnerable to theft and unlawful entry. Raising resources and funds for the same is an exercise that the SNRA is taking up earnestly.
