In a significant move to bolster security, Malibu Town has successfully installed phase 1 of a comprehensive CCTV surveillance system throughout the society. This initiative aims to enhance the safety and well-being of residents by providing round-the-clock monitoring of the area.
The decision to install CCTV cameras came after a series of discussions and consultations with the residents and the general body meeting. The system will include a total of 100+ cameras, with 32 cameras already installed in Phase 1. While phase 1 cameras cover areas- including Birch Street, and Pine Drive Circle, the full plan will cover the entire society ensuring no corner of the society is left unmonitored.
One of the standout features of the new system is the use of the latest point-to-point wireless connectivity. This technology eliminates the need for expensive digging and cabling, making the installation process more efficient and less disruptive. The wireless connectivity not only reduces installation costs but also ensures a more flexible and scalable security solution.
The surveillance system features state-of-the-art technology, including high-definition cameras, night vision capabilities, and real-time remote access for authorized personnel. These features will allow for effective monitoring and quick response to any suspicious activities. This will help in the reduction of petty incidents and will act as a deterrent for miscreants.
We are hopeful that residents will feel much safer knowing that the security of society will be significantly improved with cameras monitoring the area.
The project was funded through the society’s infrastructure improvement budget, with no additional charges imposed on the residents.
In addition to enhancing security, the CCTV system is expected to assist in various community management tasks. The footage can be used to resolve disputes, monitor maintenance work, and ensure that societal rules are being followed.
The Malibu Town Plot Residents Welfare Association has also planned regular reviews and maintenance of the CCTV system to ensure its optimal performance. Any issues or malfunctions will be addressed promptly to maintain the integrity of the security setup.
