The area occupied by erstwhile milk diaries at the end of lane C-119 to C-165 has since been vacated. Instead the land has been flattened out by the owners and twin activities are now being conducted.
Firstly, the entire area is now a Car Parking area leased on rental basis to Neo Hospital. The said end of the lane gate facing Neo Hospital is now open and manned. Primarily the visitors enter and exit both from Neo side as well as lane side. Mobile road blockers provided to cordon off the road disregard safety of the residents living in the lane.
Secondly a multitude of daily needs shops, eating joints have been opened primarily catering to Neo Hospital visitors. These are subtle threats to the Sec 50 market shops.
Whether such blatant commercial activity can be permitted on apparently “ Lal Dora Land” – contiguous and situated in the heart of the developed Sec 50 with common ingress and egress from the secure Sec 50 – is an issue Sector 50 RWA with and/or Noida Authority needs to look into.
On the face of the matter it appears quite inappropriate. The security of lane, its residents and sector need not be compromised. At best the Entry and Exit to the Lal Dora Land should be segregated and not be through the Sector 50 common area. The Powers that be may look into the matter.
