23rd August, was a proud day for the nation, as Chandrayan landed on the moon. India being the 4th country to land on the moon left every Indian proud.
Whilst the live telecast was broadcast for the entire nation to witness, CECA management decided to host live streaming for residents and ground staff as it is indeed history in the making.
The suspense of the landing was intense and nail-biting, but what followed was an entire nation United by one emotion- Proud to be Indian. The landing was hailed with hoards of claps and whistles.
Wellington was no different. When it happened, everybody congratulated each other, and residents gathered here and there in groups. Sweets were challenging to find in such a short time, so they celebrated this victory with ice creams.
According to B.K.Sharma (2C), “It is the proudest moment for all of us.” Dr. Rastogi (1A) said, “It is a big achievement. Prabhat Mishra (1C) felt “It is a historic milestone.” Mr Bhargav (1A) . Meena (Tower 1C) felt proud of India, Priya (Tower 2A) congratulated the scientists of ISRO, and Renu (Tower 2A) said ‘ The relationship between earth and moon became stronger’. Smita (Tower 2A) praised the intelligence of Indians and Nisha (Tower 1A) commented ’Today the moon will be happy too because there is somebody with him’.
