People Went Around Vasant Vihar Shouting Slogans To Create Awareness to Fight Cancer
The annual day of cancer society was held at Suraj Bhan DAV Public School in Vasant Vihar on 16 Dec. It was conducted very well by Mrs. Prasad who is heading this organization.
There was a welcome announcement by the chairperson welcoming the newly elected councilor Himani Jain, her husband Abhishek Jain and all the RWA representatives present there. Some songs and naras were sung for awareness to fight cancer.
People in small groups went around Vasant Vihar shouting slogans to create awareness to fight against cancer. They also stopped at the markets and performed nukad natak skits. These were done by the school children of Vasant Vihar schools.
Four Auto rickshaws were hired to carry the small children and the cancer patients who could not walk. When the children returned from their walk and after performing the nukad natak refreshments were served. I would like to say at this stage that the refreshments were very good and enough for all. Soo Samosas were supplied by the owner of Bengal Sweets of ‘A’ Block market of Vasant Vihar.
