Senior Citizens Support Group, an initiative of women volunteers of C Block Greater Kailash-1, orgainzed two outings in July and November this year for senior citizen residents of the block.
First outing was organized on 5th July, when a group of senior citizens was taken to watch a movie “Satyaprem Ki Katha” a light hearted romantic movie in cinema hall. The package of Rs. 500 per person included, ticket, transport (pooling), snacks and cold/ hot drink.
The events provided not only an opportunity for senior citizen residents to get to watch a movie, but also have fun in the company of fellow senior citizens and enjoy the day out. Such get togethers rejuvenate senior citizens and bring bon homie among neighbor residents of the block.
The second outing was organized on 30th November, when a group of 40 senior citizens of the C block were taken to visit Rashtrapati Bhawan, for an inside view of the President’s House and see the design, décor and layout of various parts of iconic building. The senior citizens of the block had fun, learning and wonderful first-hand experience in a two-hour trip at a nominal cost of Rs. 500 each which included, transport, entry ticket, soft drinks and snacks.
Thank you, Team Senior Citizens Support Group, led by Anuradhha Mittal, C Block, Greater Kailash 1, for all your concern, effort, time and good work for the wellness of senior citizens of the block.
