He Touched the Hearts of Hundreds of People
by Ujan Ghosh (C-202)
n 27 Sep Yash Raj Khera, grandson of Mrs and Mr Kalra, longtime residents of C-Block Sec 26, tragically passed away by an unfortunate freak accident.
Yash was a young man who came to us like a Meteor, shined for a year and then passed away forever. In this short period Yash touched the hearts of hundreds of people and will remain in their memory for ever.
Yash, with his two friends began a start-up business of catering and rented a shop in the Jitender Market of C block for their modest kitchen. They lived in Mr Kalra’s house nearby and moved up and down the connecting lane many times a day. During these walks and their regular delivery trips, often on foot, one met Yash. He greeted everyone he passed, without fail with his characteristic smile. He would always enquire about their health when he met old people.
He was polite, charming and always wore a sweet smile. He was energetic, had an entrepreneurial bent of mind and was determined to succeed in his new venture. With ample help from his mother and grandmother his kitchen produced very tasty, healthy and homely food, personally delivered to homes with a smile. His business had already started showing significant growth.
But destiny had other plans and plucked him away from us, rather too early.
With his good deeds, pleasant nature, and everyone’s prayers, one is sure that his soul will remain in peace with the Almighty.
