Burglaries on the Rise: Empty Homes Targeted

Home break-ins are a major security concern these days; the increase in thefts and burglaries has raised questions about trust and internal breaches.

Two such devastating incidents happened in phase 2.

A couple bought a house in Q Block and moved all their stuff here. They were planning to get it renovated and then move in.

The house was empty and an easy target.

The owners found the place ransacked one day and believe that the thieves have stayed in the house and have done everything with planning, and it wasn’t an impulsive break-in.

Easy-to-move things like bathroom fittings, basins, toiletries, and cutlery (that appeared to be silver ) have been stolen.

All the heavy furniture is intact. They targeted valuable and easily resellable items.

If an empty house is robbed, it suggests guards or a known person’s involvement; it is crucial to act swiftly to avoid such incidents in the future.

Another incident that came to light in M Block, where a petty thief was caught stealing.

A house robbery is a distressing event that can lead to financial loss, emotional trauma, and a sense of insecurity. It is essential to understand why such incidents happen, how to prevent them, and what steps to take if your house is robbed.

Empty houses are prime targets for burglars, but with proper security measures, the risk can be minimised. If a robbery does occur, acting quickly by reporting the crime, securing the home, and taking preventive steps for the future can help prevent further losses.
