The month of March is full of colours. With the advent of spring, colourful flowers bloom all over Delhi and the festival of colors, HOLI, also falls in this month. Holi celebration is like a carnival in Panchshila Club. Since years, the authorities have organized the event so well that it is most sought after in Delhi. Every year it is taken a notch higher by the club authorities. As the number of revelers have increased with every passing year, the MC in power tries harder to better it and make the arrangements as smooth as possible. This year, the arrangements were such that waiting time for getting drinks and snacks was nil. Everything flowed. The turnout was huge, almost 1400. The front lawn was covered with shamiana as the sun was strong on that day. Tables neatly laid, coupon counters were plenty to avoid rush. The music started with our traditional popular Hindi Holi songs and later moved to Bollywood numbers which are always a hit with the audience. People love to dance on “Rang Barse” and “Jai Jai Shiv Shankar”. The air was thick with dry colourful gulal. From an organic dry Holi to being drenched under the sprinklers. The rain dance is a hit with the young and old. Chaat counters were full. People enjoy the street food as much as the Rolls and Biryani. The Moets’ Kulfi is a hot selling item. The drinks’ kiosk never had a dull moment. The food in the club has always been upto the mark. The support staff was in full force and very courteous. It is a tall order to manage such a humoungus crowd and we need to thank all the staff who work round the clock behind the scenes to make it safe and enjoyable for us. Thanks to the MC for organizing the Grand Holi Party. The effort and the time kept the cash counters ringing and overflowing.
