The picture depicts overgrown wild thickets and stagnant water – all of which contribute to mosquito breeding. Come monsoon season and mosquito breeding is at an all time high and so is the spread of vector borne diseases. As a neighbour we are always worried that due to the close vicinity of the filth we are always at an increased risk of catching diseases.
The whole building is in a decrepit state. The owners do not maintain it themselves and even our sincere requests fall on deaf ears. From time to time we have been requesting them regarding water logging, outgrown shrubs and their faulty drainage system but no action has been taken from their end to rectify any of these.
It’s difficult to fathom as to why people live in this kind of dilapidated property in such posh localities and sectors. Why don’t people maintain their properties so as to not cause any inconvenience and stress to their neighbours.
For may the monsoon brings relief from the scorching heat, while for some it brings stress as to whether enjoy the monsoon or deal with such issues.
People should be considerate towards their neighbours and ensure that they are not unnecessarily troubled in any way.
