As the season of Diwali approaches, an inspiring initiative takes center stage – Unnati (a school of learning) organised various competitions like diya decoration, thali decoration, diwali greeting card making, rangoli design making, diya making using wheat dough and wall hanging making for their students.
All the children enthusiastically participated in them. Everyone made a conscious effort to use only recycled materials to make them. The competitions were judged by two well known artists Nidhi Asthana and Shweta Malhotra. To motivate and cheer up the kids the event was attended by co founder of Unnati Nidhi Singhal and Neetu Varshney. All were highly impressed by children’s creativity. In the end all the participants were given prizes and refreshments by Sneha Gupta and Premlata Gupta from Kolkata.
These diverse competitions go beyond festive celebrations as they serve as catalysts for empowerment, creativity, and community building. By providing such a unique platform for artistic expression, intellectual growth, and cultural celebration, Unnati not only makes Diwali memorable for these youngsters but also reinforces the belief that every child, regardless of their background, deserves the chance to shine. As the lights of Diwali spread warmth and radiance, so do the dreams and aspirations of these resilient and talented young souls.
