Books for All (BFA), a volunteer-driven NGO, is celebrating its 15th anniversary with a series of events starting November 2024 and culminating on its Foundation Day, 30 January 2025. The celebrations include storytelling sessions, competitive events, convocation ceremonies for vocational students, and beautifully decorated spaces, fostering a vibrant spirit of camaraderie among staff, teachers, volunteers, management, and trustees.
What began as a modest initiative with a single library at Government Primary School, Gejha, on 30 January 2010, has since evolved into a multifaceted organization driving 6 Impact Missions: Libraries cum Creativity Centres, Sponsored Students, Saksham for vocational training, Sankalp for village children’s development, Wall Hung Libraries, and Sparsh for the visually impaired.
Registered as a trust, BFA was co-founded by four residents of Eldeco Utopia, Sector 93, and has since expanded under the leadership of professional managers. Reflecting on its journey, BFA takes pride in its significant achievements, which stand as a testament to the power of collective effort and community engagement.
The 15th anniversary celebrations not only honor past accomplishments but also renew the commitment to empower underprivileged communities through education and skill-building initiatives.
