Book Launch “Avanipur” By Arunima Verma

The Vasant Vihar Club in association with The Book Bakers Literary Agency organized the book launch of acclaimed actress and nutritionist, Arunima Verma’s debut fantasy adventure, Avanipur.

Arunima revealed that her book is deeply rooted in her childhood experiences. “The stories my mother told me, the carefree days spent climbing trees, and my later explorations into spirituality all blended together to inspire this book,” she shared.

At the heart of Anurima’s book, Avanipur, is Moni, an 8-year-old protagonist. Although the story revolves around a child, the book’s themes and elements are designed to appeal to a universal audience.

Avanipur seamlessly weaves together fantasy, mysticism, magic, thrills, and entertainment, making it a captivating read for all ages.

Vikas Mishra, managing editor, Tree Shade Books, shed light on the practical aspects of book publishing, saying, “We receive hundreds of manuscripts from aspiring authors, making it impossible to read every script. Only a select few get attention.”

He further emphasized that salability plays a significant role in publishing decisions. “If the author is a celebrity, the salability prospects increase substantially,” Vikas revealed, highlighting the impact of an author’s reputation on a book’s marketability.

Bestselling author and noted literary agent, Suhail Mathur mentioned that it was the imaginative storytelling along with sharp characterizations and twists that made him take up the book for representation.

The event was brilliantly moderated by bestselling author, Rrashima Swaarup Verma as she kept the audience interested with her timely questions.

Arunima’s sister, noted actress and supermodel, Dipannita Sharma was all smiles and proud of her younger sister’s achievements as she reminisced about their formative years.

Arunima’s family, including her mother, husband, and son, attended the book launch, beaming with pride.

The event drew a larger-than-expected crowd, comprising children, bestselling authors like Divyaroop Bhatnagar, Shaurya Kanojia, Padmini Sankar, Naveen Kundra, Anurag Anand, Gaurav and Inaya Gala, Devendra Sahi, HA Rahman and Veena S Rao amongst several book enthusiasts. The audience engaged in lively interactions with Anurima, discussing her newly launched book and sharing their thoughts and impressions.
