We had a grand celebration for our July-born Cancerian and Leo seniors of Defence Colony at the SCF Defence Colony on July 26. The event was beautifully hosted by Kanchan Anand. The birthday celebrants were delighted with personalized birthday cards. Harjit Kaur Bawa, chairperson of SCF, presented a token of appreciation to the senior-most member of the day, Air Commodore SM Bhatia (Retd. VSM). Additionally, CP Khanna, our beloved treasurer, received a special birthday token from SCF member and President of RWA A Block Vijay Kumar.
A special mention goes to our ever-supportive sada puttar, Abhishek Dutt, who graced the occasion and shared memories of SCF’s inception by the late Chairman, GPS Bawa. He expressed his joy at seeing the SCF family grow.
Another highlight was the outstanding performance of “Gabar Singh” by ND Bhasin, which recaptured the spirit of the classic character. Vijay Kumar also shared his views about the birthday celebrants.
A high point of the celebration was the delicious hand-made kheer by Suman Singh, one of our birthday celebrants. The mouthwatering icecream provided by ND Bhasin, along with a delectable spread of chole bhature and other dishes, added to the festivities.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to my dearest SCF family for making every birthday celebration so memorable with their whole-hearted participation. We look forward to more such celebrations of camaraderie and care.
