But stray dogs outside the main gate are scary

Bio-diversity Park in Sector-91 is a blessing to a large number of residents in the vicinity of the nearby sectors. It is green, well-maintained and is spread over 146 acres of land, with clean pathways, nice landscaping, lush green and a temple for worshippers. It is indeed a great gift for walkers, cyclists and health enthusiast. It displays the information about the celestial sphere beautifully carved on the red stone slabs fixed to the ground, which looks amazing when it’s lit up. This park also has many plants which are culturally significant.
It showers its beauty, both in the morning and evening in different ways. You can hear birds chirping, a beautiful sunrise and mist at the tip of the green grass which is spread across the park. There is a temple situated inside, which adds to the beauty of the park with morning and evening Bhajans and Aarti. Now residents from the neighbourhood don’t have to travel far distance to perform their Pujas.
From the safety point of view the park has security guards, both at the entrance and inside the park, there is enough space for parking outside the main entrance and a public toilet as well.
The only problem that I personally face is the stray dogs which are more than 10–12 in number and the moment you approach the entrance or step down from your vehicle they try to engage either by walking after you or they chase you to get some food. In both the cases it is scary, seeing the dog-bite cases on the social media for past some time. I personally feel scared when I visit with my children.
I have not seen anyone loitering around or littering here so far. You can see people laughing, chatting, sharing jokes, which is joyous. During winters many families can be seen enjoying the food with their family and friends. You feel a connect and find yourself living in your hometown.
Suggestion: To have Rs. 1 entry for all the visitors. This revenue generation can help maintain the park and will take care of the basic hygiene. Besides, this will also take care of salaries for the guards, cleaners, gardener, etc.
We are blessed to have a facility like this. We must thank our government, local authorities and the people behind this great initiative. Let us make conscious efforts, take small initiatives to make this facility better that benefits all of us.
