Being a horticulture enthusiast and plant lover, Bio Enzyme or Garbage Enzyme fascinated me the most. I kept on wondering about this versatile liquid having multipurpose applications. I dis-
covered that it acts like a panacea for all problems in gardening by being a fertilizer, herbicide, and pesticide. Besides that, it has a unique but diverse persona which made me search deeper about this wonder enzyme and discovered its use in cleaning, and that too acting as a strong cleaning agent.
For plants, Bio enzymes has the micronutrients from the constituent plant/fruit which are helpful in providing nutrition to plants. It is like nectar to plants and also takes care of as a mother with its insecticide and pesticide properties. As a cleaning agent, the Enzyme takes care of dirty spots and helps open blocked drains, and cleans sewage. It can also clean water tanks, ponds, and rivers and also help in cleaning utensils, and washing vegetables and has antiseptic and deodorant properties. So, these microscopic enzymes are amazing fertilizers, deodorants, and antiseptics.
The procedure to prepare is very simple as detailed below:
Mix one-part jaggery/brown sugar with 3 parts of plant-origin waste and ten parts of water in an appropriate plastic bottle. Keep the lid tight with empty space at the top {for the gases produced). Occasionally unscrew the lid slightly for helping release these gases. Keep the bottle in a shady place. After three months, decant the material and filter through a sieve. The clear brownish liquid so obtained is the required eco enzyme. This being concentrated is to be used in very small quantities. The ratio needs to be 1 part enzyme to 1000 parts water and the dilution varies as per the type of usage.
A lot of research done on the topic and supporting documents and reports thereof are available. The product is completely natural in nature. This wonder enzyme is a blessing.
