MCD has erected a billboard at the junction of Paschimi Marg and Vasant Marg. Ever since this was erected, VVWA has, since 3rd August 2022, addressed several letters to MCD authorities at all levels. The matter was escalated to the Traffic Police on 7th February 2023, who then wrote to MCD asking that the Billboard be shifted. No action was taken by MCD. VVWA kept pursuing the matter and finally received a reply from MCD. They have sent a structural stability certificate and a copy of an insurance policy covering accidents. This, however, does not cover the basic issue of the bright lights causing traffic accidents. VVWA shall continue to pursue this.
