All children love story books, especially pictorial stories! Countless hours of our own childhood were spent flipping through picture books, eagerly anticipating the next illustration. This legacy is inde-ed precious, and Books For All (BFA) is committed to preserving it through various initiatives, including our Wall Hung Libraries, which house 100 beautifully illustrated storybooks. BFA has been sending these libraries to rural schools all across the country.
BFA had the privilege to showcase the Wall Hung Libraries at an event it conducted at one of the leading IT Companies which supports this initiative. The beautifully illustrated story books attracted parents and young children alike who flocked to our booth, and books quickly flew off the counter. The employees and their families expressed immense satisfaction with BFA’s efforts to uphold the tradition of physical books in an era dominated by digital learning.
They pledged their support to BFA through donations, volunteering commitments and, most importantly, by ensuring that BFA becomes a household name in their communities, as they took selfies tagging “I Support Books For All”.
The Super Saturday event with the theme “Rasa Raaga, Rhythm, and Prakriti,” organised by BFA presented stories with simple renditions of Bharatnatyam in an interactive form. Bhavani Anantharman from Prasannalaya and students kept the audience on their toes, literally, with demonstrations of simple steps and mudras.
It was thus a weekend of storytelling with a twist and twirl! Connect with us to learn more about our impact missions across PAN India through our various projects.
