Terrestrial plants appeared five hundred million years ago on Earth as compared to Humans who appeared only about six million years ago. The Plant kingdom pro-vides us Humans with 80% of the food we eat and 98% of the Oxygen we breathe. However, this kingdom is now under attack from us Humans as we relentlessly invade and plunder our forests in the name of mindless development. In an attempt to foster a relationship with plants and to increase our plant literacy, Slim Homes holds an annual “Plant Parents” event, wherein people can donate or collect saplings from a designated outlet and nurture them in their own homes. This year also, Surbhi Pahuja, a staunch Slim Homes’ supporter, has volunteered to host the event, commencing 1st August 2023.
