Govt. Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya (SKV), Soami Nagar, Chirag Delhi, located on an all-weather accessible road, serves the educational needs of the surrounding areas.
The school frequently hosts programs, inter-school competitions, and serves as a polling station during elections.
During a recent plantation drive, a proposal to beautify the inner main wall with meaningful social messages was discussed. This initiative was led by HOS Indira Kapoor, Sarita Meena (Eco Club In-charge), and Neeraj Gupta, South Delhi District Coordinator of Art of Living. Themes like voter awareness and promoting the Vidyanjali portal were finalized for the wall.
Neeraj Gupta collaborated with Manisha Saini from Hara Jeevan NGO to bring this vision to life. Their goal was to transform the wall into an inspiring visual canvas that leaves a lasting impression on all visitors. On November 9th, around 25 members of Hara Jeevan, Art of Living volunteers, and professional artists worked tirelessly to create vibrant murals featuring impactful messages. These artworks aimed to inspire civic responsibility and environmental consciousness while enhancing the school’s aesthetic appeal. The planning process, including finalizing designs and preparing the surface, spanned a week. The execution of the project was completed without imposing any financial burden on the school. The beautifully adorned wall now serves as a source of pride for the school community, symbolizing collaboration, creativity, and commitment to meaningful causes.
This initiative has not only revitalized the school’s environment but also created a visually compelling space that resonates with students, staff, and visitors alike.
