This was a very special Independence Day for all the residents of the Supertech Emerald Court. After the demolition of the Twin Towers, a landmark event for all the residents and a victory of the fight against the builder a couple of years ago, the residents celebrated their 78th Independence Day on the land cleared after the demolition by hoisting the National Flag at the venue.
Befitting the occasion, our beloved BAPU visited the Supertech Emerald Court to spend the day with all of us. Our very own Doctor Sahib Ajai Ji took almost a month to get into the character of the respected Mahatma to represent the achievement of freedom for all of us. Ajai ji, a very respected resident always ready to help everyone, was the ideal person to represent BAPU. He got into the selfies of one and all and was a ‘hit of the show’.
After the customary ceremonies of Flag Hoisting and Guard of Honour by the Security Team, the residents witnessed a very professional show by the residents to set the patriotic fervor for the event. It was a pleasure to see some beautiful performances by the children as well as residents of all ages. All the residents practiced for more than a month to get prizes and certificates for the event.
Another event which was very popular in the summer was the Indoor Games at the Emerald Club. The winners of indoor games at the Emerald Court were facilitated at the Independence Day Event.
The best performers among the staff were rewarded for their good performance as is done every year. The event concluded with the photo session with our very own BAPU and the performers at the show over snacks and beverages.
