Interaction With The Residents
At an interaction meeting with the residents of Vasant Vihar on Sunday, January 19, the local Member of Parliament, Bansuri Swaraj said, “Vasant Vihar is an inspirational colony. People aspire to own a house in Vasant Vihar. Once you start living in the colony, you experience issues of water, dhalaos, unkempt parks, broken roads, and so on.” “In a short span of 7 months of my election, I have resolved many of these issues,” she added. Eight new projects have been approved for Vasant Vihar out of my MPLAD fund. The implementation of these projects will commence soon after the moral code of conduct is revoked.
Also present on the occasion was ex-councilor and ex- MLA Anil Sharma. He said that in his tenure as councilor and later as MLA, he visited the VVWA office every week to resolve the day-to-day problems. It was in his short tenure of 10 months as MLA, that he got a dedicated water supply pipeline laid from Moti Bagh to Vasant Vihar ensuring regular water supply to the colony. He is aware of the problems being faced by the residents of Vasant Vihar. He will put in every effort for the overall development of the colony, such as regular water supply, resurfacing of roads, upkeep of parks, eradication of stray dogs and cattle menace, and so on.
