B7 RWA Celebrates Gandhi Jayanti

On October 2, 2024, B7 RWA marked Gandhi Jayanti with a meaningful and vibrant celebration by organizing a “Swachhta Abhiyan” in their community.

The event, held under the banner of Project “Green Hands,” aimed to raise awareness about cleanliness and environmental conservation, bringing together residents of all ages.

The day began with a gathering in the main park at 9 a.m., where both children and adults took a solemn pledge to reduce, recycle, and reuse waste in their surroundings. The energy of the young participants, ranging from 3 to 12 years of age, along with their enthusiastic parents and community members, set the tone for a day filled with purpose and action.

Following the pledge, the children took part in a sapling plantation drive, symbolizing their commitment to nurturing a greener future. As they planted each sapling, the RWA highlighted the importance of environmental stewardship, encouraging the children to become “Green Soldiers,” responsible for tending to the newly planted trees and ensuring their growth.

The most spirited part of the day was the march around the B7 pocket. Holding banners and chanting lively slogans such as “Clean B7, Clean Bharat,” “Clean Nation is a Healthy Nation,” and “Sabka ho bas yehi naara – Swachh Rahe B7 Hamara!” the participants energized the entire community. The one-hour march brought smiles, cheers, and a renewed sense of pride in their shared commitment to cleanliness.

The event concluded on a high note with snacks, beverages, and a lively photo session, leaving everyone with a sense of accomplishment and joy. B7 RWA’s Gandhi Jayanti celebration truly reflected the spirit of unity and environmental consciousness, creating a positive ripple for a cleaner, greener tomorrow.
