Increases Number of Households Paying Maintenance
In a short period of about six months, the new executive committee has transformed B Block and its residents. With the progress, the first positive effect is the number of paying residents of quarterly maintenance charges increasing steadily to bring much-needed revenue to the coffers of CWF.
The colony looks neat and clean with proper identification of lanes signage Boards reflecting house numbers in the lanes have been placed suitably. A water supply system is available to the residents regularly with proper storage tanks and pumps installed to keep the supply to all lanes with the cooperation of MCG.
It is wonderful to see that adequate care is being taken to keep night lights on in the streets. The power supply is also regular despite an increase in load due to the construction of 4-storey flats where each building has about 20 air conditioners and a lift to draw on the power. If adequate attention is paid to provide transformers adequately in the area with proper maintenance, the power situation can further be improved.
Attention is also being paid for sewage clearance though it has been found that some builders block the flow by disposing of cement bags in the sewage pipes found at the time of cleaning.
Maintenance of rain harvesting wells 4 nos requires the immediate attention of CWF and MCG. These are not connected to the pipes to pour rainwater in the wells. It is obligatory for plot holders of more than 500 sq. yards to have a rainwater harvesting system. The law is rarely observed.
We all know that the water level in Gurgaon is gradually going down every year; So, to solve this problem CWF and MCG have to be vigilant to get the law order implemented honestly.
The security system at the gates is adequately maintained with proper supervision and vigilance of committee members. Proper timings are observed for gate closure and opening.
Gate no. 4 and also gate no 1 and 8, the main entrance gates to the colony are properly manned with a round in the colony by the supervisor. A room is also being built at gate 4.
The most remarkable contribution has been in providing adequate roof and room to a pressing man and a sewing machine lady earning their lot’ It protects them against rain, sun and cold weather.
In nutshell, the CWF has done much of what was not done earlier to make the colony a model of development and growth.
