Holi the festival of Colours was celebrated with traditional bonhomie and gaiety by B-9 residents on 25th March. Children, young and old gathered in ‘Holi Park’ and enjoyed themselves to the hilt amidst foot tapping beats of Dhol Wala and loudspeaker belting out evergreen Holi songs. What the residents enjoyed most was the impromptu live performance of our well-known talented singers like Swati Ji, Ms. Vibhuti, Mr Sushant, Ms. Neerja and Ms Anuradha. Ms. Sumedha Sharma, Ms. Pankaja and many others took on the dance ‘floor’ and enthralled the gathering with their graceful performance. Residents applied gulal on each other while younger ones could be seen enjoying with sprinkling coloured water on each other with designer water guns. This year the festival became more enjoyable with few overseas guests of residents joined the celebrations. About 200 residents enjoyed subsidised sumptuous Holi lunch comprising of Bedmi Puri, Rice pulao, Pindi channa, Shahi Paneer, Alu Gobhi, Boondi Raita accompanied by salad, pickles and papad. Traditional Gujiya was served as a sweet dish.
