And awareness campaign against the harmful effects of the use of plastic was brought through a Nukkad Natak presented in the colony. Rotary club brought in this awareness so that the residents can get connected with this waste management movement and the menace of plastic can be addressed at source. The plastic collection from individual households would be picked up by recyclers, NGOs and reused. All the colonies who join in this waste management plastic collection drive help the environment many times over. These used plastics are converted into benches, utility items which are then recycled in the community. The harmful effects of plastic and the recycling of the same is the only way forward.
