Various Awareness Drives were organized last year and all these efforts have borne fruit with the honour and award received from MCD this year.
“Mr.Prateek Pathak, President, ARWA received the Award from Dr.Ankita Chakravarti, DC, South Zone, MCD. Given here is the photograph of the ARWA Executive Committee Team members with the Safai Karamcharis whose contribution in this initiative has been outstanding.”
It is being ensured that this Waste Segregation Drive is maintained throughout the year by way of the following:
- Waste is segregated at source at home itself. Family members and household help being counselled accordingly.
- No mixing to be done by the Garbage Collector and at the MCD Tipper point. The segregated garbage is always being carried separately.
- Residents being counselled to try composting at source to reduce wet waste going to the landfill.
