It’s autumn and it’s the time to read books. This is the time of the year when you just want to find a cosy spot and read that one book. So, I have compiled a few of my favourites into a fall reading list to add to your TBR.
1. The Guest List by Lucy Foley is one of my favourite murder mysteries that slowly advances and turns into a plot twist no one expects.
2. Dracula by Bram Stoker – A classic horror thriller that will make your hair stand on end. Perfect for the Halloween season.
3. Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë – A classic book that revolves around the themes of romance and death. The perfect gothic fiction.
4. With the Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo – The perfect book for anyone craving comfort. It tells the story of a teen who loves cooking and struggles with the constant problems in her life.
5. Practical Magic by Alice Hoffman – The perfect mix of spooky and fun. Besides, It’s a good movie you can watch.
6. Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier – A page-turner that brings together adventure, mystery and goth all together. It’s the perfect fall reading.
7. Hallowe’en Party by Agatha Christie – Any Agatha Christie book honestly qualifies for an autumn reading list but this one is seemingly made for it. As any Agatha Christie, it is a page-turner and keeps the reader hooked to the last word and then leaves them longing for more.
So, enjoy this beautiful season that we call autumn as you flip through marvellous writing in even more marvellous weather.
