Residents get no respite from the traumatic experience of traffic back-up down the C V Raman Marg
Not with standing, the policing here by a person who was an attendant at the underpass construction, the traffic mess at the Ashram Chowk, is the best example of ‘a laissez-faire country.
The most ludicrous situation many drivers’ find themselves in is when they take a ‘U’ under the flyover, hoping to enter the C V Raman Marg to reach New Friends Colony or the Fortis-Escorts Hospital. They land -up back to the Ashram Crossing. No signage to inform that there is another turn under the flyover, ahead that will go to the Hospitals. The first turn doesn’t mention either that this leads back to the Ashram Chowk.
Similarly, it needs mentioning, at the second turn under the flyover, where is it leading to!
The residents of these colonies have no respite from the traumatic experience of traffic back-up down the C V Raman Marg because of the heavy vehicular traffic proceeding from Noida towards Faridabad. They are stuck for 35-40 minutes at times, with battery operated buses chasing the others, two-to-three abreast!
The agencies, the Central Road Research Institute and the police have failed to address this part of Delhi successfully.
