Arya Samaj Mandir Green Park is one of the oldest religious organizations in the colony. It started with the purpose of religious studies and spirituality. I remember the good old days when I used to call Shastri ji for havan at my place on special days.
Arya Samaj used to have regular havans on Sundays when spirited spiritual leaders used to give pravachans. The activity is generally confined to havans and lectures for the gathering. Of late I find the aim of Arya Samaj has widened and the stress now is on education, physical and social wellbeing of everyone.
Consequently one finds quite a number of facilities available for the economically weaker section of the society. I am listing some of the facilities as under:
Homeopathic Charitable Clinic headed by Dr Manisha Suri Dhawan 2 days a week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. Consultation and medicine is of course free. It is a popular clinic. I have been going there for consultation and the medicine. Dr Manisha is quite popular; she takes 50 patients a day.
Dental Charitable Clinic Dr Divya Malik the dental surgeon timings are from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursdays and Saturdays. The mobile number is 9818937997. It provides comprehensive dental treatments like implants, smile design, crowns and bridges. Dr Divya believes in the transformative power of oral health. The passion for charity was instilled in her from a young age, having grown up in a home where helping others was a core value. She has worked as a junior resident doctor at Pandit Madan Mohan hospital New Delhi. Through their clinics she aims to give back to the society and ensure everyone has access to essential dental care at reasonable cost.

Arya Samaj Rotary Skill Centre Green Park: These skill projects are specially organized for ladies/girls only to empower them to be self-sufficient economically. Stitching is part of this skill project in both practical training is important and is given by experts who charge Rs 500 per month per person to keep the interest going. He derives a lot of pleasure in helping out people to solve the various problems connected with the MCD or Arya samaj.
Computer Coaching Centre 5 days a week from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Arya Samaj has computer coaching centre managed by Appropriate coaches. Classes are held from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. both for boys and girls students and charge a nominal fee of rupees 500 for a month. It is quite popular where you can see for yourself the enthusiasm present in the youngsters.
Coaching for Class 9th 10th 11th and 12th is going to be introduced. It should be working soon keeping in mind the high rate of private coaching which is difficult to manage with meagre income of middle and lower strata of society.
As you all know Arya Samaj runs on the donations of kind souls and except for the income which it generates through the rental of air conditioned prayer hall, which can accommodate a sizable number of people for social gathering. Besides others I know one dedicated soul that is Ranjan Kohli, running from pillar to post to avail the services of social minded educationists, doctors, skill teachers etc and to bring it to the notice of public through newsletters etc. 3 cheers for Arya samaj.
