Every year Arya Samaj Kailash-GK-1 holds its annual function over a period of one week. This year the Arya Samaj Annual function was held from April 22 to April 28. The weeklong event had two sessions daily. From Monday to Saturday, morning session consisted of one hour of Havan where multiple couples were yajmans and performed yagya. The Havan was followed by half hour Pravachan and intellectual discussion based on messages from Vedas for emulation in life.
The evening session from Mon to Sat was for two hours every day. First hour was dedicated to melodious bhajans by Tarang Kandpal from April 22 to April 24 and Dinesh Pathik from April 25 to April 27. Bhajans were followed by one hour discourse on ‘Vedic Katha’ by Achrya Yogesh Vedic Ji from April 22 to April 25 and discourse on ‘Importance of Human Life’ on April 26 and on’ Vedic Activities and present life ‘on April 27 by Dr. Vinay Vidhyalankar. Prasad was distributed to participants each day both at the end of morning and evening sessions.
The final day function began with Maha Yagya where all yajmans during the week and others who missed the opportunity performed the havan and received blessings from the Acharya Ji. The main function was held in BM Munjal Vedic Centre and was attended by eminent persons including Yogesh Munjal, Chairman Munjal Showa, President, Secretary and Treasurer of Grudwara Sri Guru Singh Saheb, Office bearers of various RWA’s and residents of Greater Kailash-1, Kailash Colony, Pamposh Enclave and GK1 Enclave.
The function began with bhajans by Pandit Dinesh Pathik. Shri. Vinay Arya, Secretary, Delhi Arya Pratanidhi Sabha spoke on’ Challenges of Arya Samaj’ and highlighted four challenges faced by Arya Samaj.
Swami Sachinanand Ji eminent Arya Samaj speaker gave discourse on ‘Swami Dayanand- Originator of Ideology Revolution’. Dr. Mahesh Vidhyalankar former Delhi University professor gave discourse on ‘Human Orientation of Arya Samaj’. Dr Vinay Vidhyalankar professor Gurukul Kangri delivered key note address on ‘Arya Samaj and Sanatan Dharm’ describing that all Hindus are Sanatani. SK Sharma, DAV Management Committee spoke on the need for modern education to follow the concept of ‘Learner Centric Education’ started in Arya Samaj Gurukuls. Vijay Lakhanpal, President, Arya Samaj thanked all guests, participants and speakers. Rajender Kumar Verma, Secretary, Arya Samaj conducted the function efficiently as Master of Ceremony.
The event ended with lunch / Rishi Langar.
