Amrapali Eden Park had a host of activities organised by the Eden Park welfare committee led by Kusum Khandelwal (A-1804, A-403) in the months of April and May. A group called “Ashray” has been formed for the senior citizens of the society. The idea is to engage senior citizens in social activities to keep them engaged and check on their welfare. The list of volunteers has been prep-ared to assist in case of emergencies.
Senior citizens “Meet and Greet” event was organized on 05 April. It started with an introduction round, Antakshari and snacks distribution. Thereafter, a five days free meditation workshop for senior citizens was conducted by HP Madnawat (D-1104) who is a certified heartfulness instructor. The workshop had very enthusiastic participation throughout 5 days.
In the next event, Sunderkand Paath was arranged in Eden Park clubhouse on 23 April on the occasion of Shree Hanuman Jayanti. It was a devotional evening with the chanting of Sunderkand, tabla waden concluded with aarti and prasad distribution.
A free Yoga session was conducted on 23 April by a certified instructor Ajay Kumar in the morning hours. This gathered so much interest that now regular yoga classes are happening in the society for beginner and intermediate levels.
Donation Drive 2.0 was organized on the 09 May. Clothes, shoes, bags and stationery items were collected for a period of four days.
With the onset of summer, for the first time in Eden Park, a certified lady swimming coach has started swimming classes in the society.
Thanks to Kusum ji, Preeti (B-903), Pragya Jain (D-1302), Neha Kansal (D-304), Ruchi (A-204), Alpana Singh (C-406), Lata (D-503), Shuchi (D002,102) and Toposhree (B-704) to help out and facilitate all of the above activities.
In another event, Eves of Eden led by Sharmila Tandon (A-003) organized a movie night on 11 May at 8:30 pm for the ladies of the society. It was a pop-cola filled event watched by lapata ladies from the homes to make their Saturday awesome.
