On Sunday, 27 October 2024, the Apex Athena premises resonated with devotion and harmony as residents gathered to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Gurpurab. The special event began with an early morning Prabhat Feri, a traditional Sikh procession, which set the tone for a day filled with spirituality and community bonding.
At 5:00 AM, devotees started arriving at the venue, eager to participate in the sacred festivities. The Club House echoed with soulful kirtan from 5:30 AM, led by esteemed musicians. As the morning progressed, the Asa Di Vaar Kirtan commenced at 6:00 AM, filling the air with uplifting melodies and profound lyrics.
Following the heartfelt prayers, Karah Parshad (sweet, blessed food) was distributed at 8:00 AM, after the Ardaas (Sikh prayer). This was followed by Guru ka Langar, a communal meal symbolizing equality and unity, which brought everyone together.
The event was a wonderful opportunity for residents to come together with family and friends, seeking the blessings of Satguru Nanak. Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings emphasize the importance of love, compassion, and humility, inspiring devotees to strive for a more harmonious world.
