The annual meeting on prevention & control of vector borne diseases was conducted by Inspector Shiv Kumar along with his colleague Vinesh Kumar with the Executive Committee of the B3 RWA, Vasant Kunj in the Gazebo Park on Aug 24. It was a productive interactive session on vector borne diseases, its prevention and control, i.e. the necessary measures taken by the MCD at appropriate times all through the season as well as about the misconceptions on fumigation and the critical role of the RWA in sensitizing the residents about the necessity to cooperate with the DBC and other staff of the MCD’s Anti-Malaria Department and to provide easy access to the terrace as well for facilitating comprehensive effective action on successful prevention and control of vector borne diseases in the society.
Later that day, Balwant Singh and Naresh Kumar carried out proper and effective fumigation of the entire society, covering every part and corner such as the front and backlanes, porticos of ground floor flats, garage areas, especially that are encroached and covered, parks and parking areas, toilets, guard rooms, areas with rows of dense planters and pots, etc.
